Event Recap: General Secretaries Workshop –
“Protecting the Church’s Mission”
On May 20th and 21st, the Apostolic Assembly hosted a pivotal two-day workshop titled “Protecting the Church’s Mission,” bringing together General Secretaries and leadership from across the organization. The workshop focused on reinforcing the importance of safeguarding church assets, welcoming 45 district representatives for a time of insight, strategy, and unified vision.
The event was honored by the presence and leadership of both the President and the General Secretary of the Apostolic Assembly. Their keynote addresses emphasized the spiritual and practical responsibility of protecting church properties and real estate through proper insurance and risk management. Their message strongly resonated, highlighting how faithful stewardship of physical resources is essential to sustaining the church’s long-term mission and ministry.
Throughout the sessions, attendees participated in discussions on policy, best practices, and the tools available to help each district manage its assets effectively and responsibly. A live case study was also reviewed, guiding participants through an investigation and trial process to identify areas for improvement on behalf of the Assembly.
Pastor Benjamin Pacheco spoke on the critical importance of maintaining proper insurance coverage. Pastor Ismael Martin Del Campo III addressed the role of district secretaries in keeping detailed records and utilizing the resources available to their districts. Administrator Gabriel Gonzalez provided a comprehensive overview of procedures related to real estate matters.
This workshop marked a significant step in aligning leadership with a shared commitment to sustainability, accountability, and the long-term protection of the church’s mission. The collaboration and insights shared are expected to influence future decisions and strengthen district-level initiatives across the Apostolic Assembly.
